Caryopteris, also known as Blue Mist, Blue Spirea, or Bluebeard is an excellent mid-late summer blooming perennial that adds color when nothing else seems to be blooming. Its name comes from its light and airy habit when in bloom as if a blue mist were present. Its in the mint family and is a pollinator magnet. Makes an excellent low growing hedge. Prefers well drained soil, moderate fertilization, and full sun. Easy to grow.
