We started growing red hot poker about five or six years ago and just love its odd and unique ways. A stand out in the garden and blooming early summer, its flowers just glow and are extremely eye catching. Pairs well with hibiscus and shorter rudbeckia. Easy to grow, though needs well drained soil and prefers full sun. Has grass like foliage, benefits to trim the foliage back in early spring for fresh growth.
