This switchgrass is another beautiful grass that will work well as a stand alone specimen, en masse, as a hedge, or alongside ponds or streams. Named for the beautiful swishing sound it makes when the wind catches it, this panicum is unique with its reddish rose colored panicles. All ornamental grasses provide habitat for birds during the coldest part of the year. Prefers full sun, easy to grow, will tolerate most soils, can even handle moderate flooding occasionally.
