So, so SO many good things to say about bluestar, a native that really is a must have in any perennial garden. Bluestar arises out of the soil in spring with such determination and vigor. I think it might have the fastest emergence to bloom cycle of any perennial we've grown. It's truly amazing to watch it grow an inch or two a day, then have it covered in the softest blue star shaped flower. It blooms for awhile as the flowers keep opening on the cluster. It's been an easy care perennial for us that gives so much for which we are always thankful. An easy choice to add to the garden. Heat and humidity tolerant, deer resistant, soil adaptable, average moisture needs, full sun to part shade. What more could you want?
