I'm super excited to be offering this native woodland iris and am really looking forward to planting this one in our shade garden this spring. As the name implies, the flowers of Powder Blue Giant are particularly large for iris cristata. Deer resistant and rhizomatous so it readily spreads (and prefers to be divided every few years), this one would be great to have as a ground cover for a spring show. A hummingbird delight. Average soil moisture needs (can even handle it on the dry side), full shade to part sun, is vigorous and easy to grow. Likes rich soils.
